Marion County is located in North Central Ohio.  The primary industry in Marion County is agriculture and the County is home to the largest dryer manufacturing plant (owned by Whirlpool Corporation) in North America.  The County is conveniently located one hour north of Columbus, Ohio and one and one half hours south of Toledo, Ohio.

The Marion City / County Regional Planning Commission staff provides planning, zoning, subdivision regulation administration, grant administration, and economic development services to Marion County.
